Dr. Lynn Beal – Founder, Educator, Advocate
Dr. Lynn Beal is a nationally recognized educator and curriculum leader with over 20 years of experience across K–12 and higher education. Her work spans classroom teaching, instructional coaching, district leadership, and university-level instruction. As the founder of Tutoring Allies, Dr. Beal is dedicated to personalized learning that bridges academic skill-building with confidence and independence. She is especially known for designing responsive and data-informed tutoring programs, supporting executive functioning, and advocating for equitable access to learning support services.

Dr. Edward M. Johns – Curriculum Strategist & Learning Systems Advisor
Dr. Edward Makoto Johns, Ed.D., is an instructional designer and educational strategist specializing in personalized learning and innovative tutoring systems. He brings over a decade of experience teaching and leading in both K–12 and higher education settings across the United States and Asia.
Dr. Johns began his K–12 career in Thailand as the Director of Student Services at Mahidol University International Demonstration School (MUIDS), where he oversaw guidance, admissions, student life, and testing coordination. He later taught English and academic skills to high school students at Hailiang Foreign Language School in China and served as a lecturer at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, where he designed and led courses in academic writing, public speaking, and English composition. His experience in diverse educational systems shaped his inclusive and globally informed teaching approach.
As co-leader of Tutoring Allies and founder of The Napua Initiative for Global Learning LLC, Dr. Johns develops tools and strategies that blend executive functioning support, cross-cultural understanding, and AI-enhanced learning into tutoring and educator development.
